Innovation Health Medicare covers both brand name and generic prescription drugs. Generic drugs have the same active-ingredient formula as a brand name drug. Generic drugs usually cost less than brand name drugs and are rated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be as safe and effective as brand name drugs.
In general, beneficiaries must use network pharmacies to access their prescription drug benefit, except in non-routine circumstances. Pharmacy clinical programs such as prior authorization, step therapy, and quantity limits may apply to your prescription drug coverage.

Innovation Health's pharmacy network offers limited access to pharmacies with preferred cost sharing in: Rural Missouri, Urban Alabama and Urban Tennessee. The lower costs advertised in our plan materials for these pharmacies may not be available at the pharmacy you use. Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-Star rating system. Star Ratings are calculated each year and may change from one year to the next.
You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.
For mail-order, you can get prescription drugs shipped to your home through the network mail-order delivery program. Typically, mail-order drugs arrive within 7 to 14 days. Please call us if you do not receive your mail-order drugs within this timeframe.

Members may have the option to sign-up for automated mail-order delivery.

Members who get “Extra Help” are not required to fill prescriptions at preferred network pharmacies in order to get Low Income Subsidy (LIS) copays.

The formulary, pharmacy network, and/or provider network may change at any time. You will receive notice when necessary.
Out-of-network/non-contracted providers are under no obligation to treat Innovation Health members, except in emergency situations. For a decision about whether we will cover an out-of-network service, we encourage you or your provider to ask us for a pre-service organization determination before you receive the service.
